The center is located within a open area of a middle school, providing protection for the center and offering an opportunity for kids (and their parents) to volunteer. Blog for the rehab center is here. It is a good blog and worth a visit. During the school year, interested kids may work at the center after school hours, doing grunge work and having a wonderful learning opportunity. Some will learn to feed the educational birds directly and to assist in educational events at parks, schools and organization meetings. The center cannot be open to the public. Birds are accepted for healing and are released when ready. If you bring in an injured raptor, you may be present at the release in most cases.
